YOU'RE INVITED TO A PINEAPPLE PARTY!
If you follow my snapchat, you'll know that I spent that later part of the week shopping and preparing for a pineapple party. I texted CB last Thursday and told him to call his friends and invite them over on Sunday for a pineapple party.
He then said, "So you want me to call up my dude friends and invite them over to our house for a pineapple party? Sarah, you want me to invite the guys over for A PINEAPPLE PARTY?"
Ummm...yes. Yes, I do. I'm sorry, my bad, I didn't realize pineapples were limited to enjoyment by the female population! Psssssht, everyone loves pineapples, and everyone loves a party, so ipso facto, everyone will love a pineapple party! It was settled.
Every single weekend we've managed to jam pack a trillion activities, but this past Sunday I was excited to just have our friends over, grill some burgers, eat some pineapple and just plain relax and socialize!
I spent the weekend in and out of shops searching high and low for every last pineapple trinket I could find in Dallas. To my shock, finding pineapple stuff proved far more difficult than I anticipated, so I had to get a little creative. I ended up just grabbing anything yellow I could find, and figured I'd do some pineapple transformations on my own.
1. Pineapple Salsa Boat I hollowed out half of a pineapple and filled it with my favorite chunky salsa. Although CB loves the spicy stuff, I think it's usually a better idea to go with a more mild salsa for a party. I tossed some chips on the table and some guacamole to top everything off
2. Cupcakes I got a mix of white and lemon cupcakes and alternated them around a cake stand.
3. Grilled Pineapple I cut two pineapples up in circular pieces, so that they could easily be added to the burgers or eaten plain. CB sprinkled cinnamon, sugar and honey on top, then grilled them up for us.
4. Cheeseburgers We had delicious, good old fashioned cheeseburgers that had spent the day soaking in a decent helping of worcestershire sauce. We found some Hawaiian flavored buns that paired perfectly with the grilled pineapple topping.
5. Cake Batter Confetti Popcorn Quite possibly the most addicting thing in the world, recipe can be found here.
6. Ice Cream Gummies || Just a cute little treat to fill one of the pineapple trays I found!
7. Punch || This was the biggest hit of the party! It was so simple, just a liter of sprite, a cup of pink lemonade mix and 48oz of pineapple juice! That's it, easy right? I actually had to make seconds it was so popular!
|| Activities ||
Photo Booth I knew I wanted to have a fun photo booth for my friends to take cute pictures with. This was super simple and dirt cheap. I just bought a yard and a half of black and white striped fabric, and used thumbtacks to hoist it up on the wall. I then added a few palm leaves and some yellow pops of color, and voila! An easy, super inexpensive DIY photo booth.
Cornhole || I can't remember the last time we went to a party or hosted a party where we didn't bust out the cornhole tables. Unfortunately though, the massive rain pour that showed up about 5 minutes into our party, decided cornhole wasn't going to happen.

1. Pineapple Cups || I bought plain yellow paper cups, and turned them into pineapples by using a bronze sharpie. I just scattered an X with a dot underneath, all over the cups. I then cut long, thin strips out of green construction paper and glued 5 on to the back of each cup.
2. Palm Faux Flowers || I bought a ton of palm faux flowers and scattered them all over the yellow table for a contrast in colors. I also put a couple in vases on the table as well.
3. Yellow Pineapples || I spray painted the base of two pineapples bright yellow, and added some sunglasses, because why not.
4. Gift Bags || Just like the pineapple cups, I turned these plain yellow bags into pineapples by adding the X design and topping with green tissue paper. Inside the gift bags were Summer inspired survival kits, since just like us, they're constantly busy and on the go. I included the cutest little pineapple notebooks, some sunscreen and the cutest little flamingo soaps that smelled so delicious. I couldn't find pineapple soaps, so I figured flamingo was the next best thing!
I also tossed in these new Centrum Vitamints Raspberry, paired with the Centrum Vitamints Cool Mint and Centrum Gummies. If you're my age, it's highly possible to get way too busy and forget the importance of vitamins. I figured if I threw it in my gift bags, my friends could enjoy staying healthy with simple solutions like Centrum Gummies and Vitamints. It would be an easy way to remember that they can be taken to improve overall health*!
Enjoy staying healthy with simple solutions like Centrum Gummies and Vitamints. There's also a full page of coupons available, and that website can be found here. Centrum can be found in the vitamin aisle at Walmart.
