You see, this is regarding my boyfriend, Pete.
I love pizza, I love it so much, but I have a favorite kind of pizza and in my 28 years on this planet no pizza has ever compared. I've had pizza in Chicago, I've had pizza in New York. I've had pizza for breakfast and pizza late at night after the bars have long closed down. I've had paper thin crust, I've had the deepest of dishes. I've had gourmet pizza that costs as much as a bottle of Patron for a single slice, and I've had 3 for 1 pizza out of the 7/11 spinning heater that sits next to the cash register.
None compare. I want them to compare, I really do. I desperately do. Do you think I like living with this stigma? I'm a self-professed pizza addict, I desperately want to love some really hipster pizza place, or only eat pizza that is shipped directly to me by carrier pigeon right from the streets of NYC.
I've tried pizza all over Dallas. I've tried pizza from Far North Dallas, South Dallas, West Dallas and East Dallas. I've tried pizza in Deep Ellum, Uptown and Oak Cliff.
I've had Stonedeck
I've had Serious Pizza
Everyone unfollows in 3...2...1....
Go ahead, let me have it in the comments section. I can handle it.
(You won't believe me when I say this, but it's CB's all time favorite too. How hard are you judging us right now? Scale of 1 to 10?)
Pizza hut personal pan is my favorite! That thick, crispy crust just tops the others!
ReplyDeleteNo judgment here. Pizza Hut is my all-time favorite jam. Their cheese is seriously amazing.
ReplyDeleteI AM TOTALLY WITH YOU. It's just so good! Everybody thinks I'm crazy. But I think they just don't want to admit that Pizza Hut is the best because it's not "real" pizza!
ReplyDeleteI think it's great that you have an ultimate pizza that you call your numero uno! I don't agree with you but as a self proclaimed pizza obsessor I can honestly say I haven't met a pizza I didn't like - I LOVE Gas Station Pizza, but often times my heart just wants a Papa John's Pepperoni... an big greasy slice, then two days later I want my favorite gourmet joint in town to make me a pizza. I say PIZZA SISTERS UNITE! I love Pizza Hut, every once in a while... it tears me up but it hurts so good! haha ;)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE PIZZA! & if you want to take your pizza obsession to the next level, Walmart has pizza footie pajamas, I mean not that I've seriously considered buying them every time I walk up to start work, but that can be our little secret right? ;)
ReplyDeletehahah- i love this! i love a good cheese pizza {papa john's for me- with the cheese dipping sauce on the side!} and pizza hut is home to the old 'book it' pins in elementary school- did you do that?! so i will forever love them.
ReplyDeleteI'm not gonna lie, that fried pizza look delish. I'm a pizza addict myself. Could eat it 7 days a week.
ReplyDeleteA quote about pizza I heard once that absolutely still rings true: Pizza is like sex; even when it's pretty bad, it's still pretty good.
ReplyDeleteRight?! Right. You're welcome! ;)
I personally prefer Papa John's, but I do love me some Pizza Hut breadsticks! My dream pizza night would be to have Papa John's pizza, Pizza Hut breadsticks and Domino's cinna-dots all delivered right to me at the same time ☺️
ReplyDeleteNo judgement here, Pizza Hut is my absolute favorite! It's seriously the only place I order from. I'm all about the pan crust though!
ReplyDeleteI'm not even judging you because now I feel like I have to try it right now or I will die.
ReplyDeleteI will totally...not unfollow you. I love Pizza Hut pizza. I also love Papa John's and Little Ceasers. I like to call it non-pizza pizza. But it is pizza. And it is good. And now I really want pizza.
ReplyDeleteUghhh now I want pizza!!
ReplyDeleteI don't like Pizza Hut but I will not unfollow.. LOL
ReplyDeletePizza hut was my favorite as a kid but something changed :(
ReplyDeleteI'm mostly a margherita pizza snob these days, but I'm not ashamed to admit I think Costco's pizza is delicious!
I TOTALLY agree with you and people make fun of me for it too!! But Pizza Hut is delicious! Do you like their lunch buffet? Seriously a slice of heaven...no pun intended!

I'm in love with their breadsticks. Like, I will happily be fat for the seasony goodness that is breadstick and dipping sauce. And I do love their thin crust. They're waaay better than Domino's
ReplyDeleteNo judgement here. We love Pizza Hut in our house too! And I always order "cheese please" :) Have you tried the pretzel crust at PH? So good!
ReplyDeleteNo judgement here. We love Pizza Hut pizza too. It's so good!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites is our local grocery store's brand frozen pizza. *hangs head in shame*
ReplyDeleteWhaaaaaaa???? What is it what is it???? Can I get it online??? :P
DeleteNO SARAH NO
ReplyDeleteNo judgement from me! I've had NY, Chicago, even pizza in Rome, but my all time favorite is a large pepperoni with cajun crust from Hungry Howies!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love that the post before this is about weight watchers!!
It's like I don't even know you!
ReplyDeleteHold up. You're dating Pete Za too? This guy has it coming, he's double timing us and it's not fair. I thought we had a mutual love for each other and to find out he loves you too?!
ReplyDeleteno shame! pizza hut makes some good pizza! i get a cheese, bacon, and BBQ drizzle pizza and it's hands down one of my favorite pizzas.
ReplyDeleteI can't even remember the last time I had a pizza hut pizza. I really don't eat chain pizza except for Papa Murpheys.
ReplyDeleteHahaha hey, you can't help who you fall in love with.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite pizza is Pizza Hut sausage pizza with thin crust. No shame.
ReplyDeleteHahhahah, I hate Pizza Hut with a passion! But I think it's because they had it at our dining hall in college, and I associate it with eating it while being sick from Crohn's Disease. But seriously though, there's no shame in loving pizza, no matter where it's from! It's just hard to go wrong with carbs and cheese.
ReplyDeletePizza Hut is probably my least favorite delivery pizza ever, but to each their own! I'm sure that you would cringe that one of my favorites is Papa Johns. I think that you need to go to Italy next and see if pizza there strikes your fancy more than Pizza Hut ;)
ReplyDeleteOMG girl, you crack me up!!! I haven't had pizza in forever, but pizza hut and their greasy ass crust is my favorite too. Especially the stuffed crust (don't judge me!!)
ReplyDeleteI thought you were about to tell us you were cheating on CB...with Pete. But hey, we knew that already!
ReplyDeleteYou can have all my slices of pizza. Because I don't like it so much.
ReplyDeletehahahaha this just made my day! I love pizza of all kinds and definitely don't judge!
ReplyDeleteNooooooooo lol. They used to be my favorite until I moved to New England where chains give way to Mom and Pop shops and now my favorite comes from a little place called Park Street Pizza near Boston...Mmmmmm, my mouth is watering just thinking about it haha. Go on with your bad self!
ReplyDeleteNo judgement here. Pizza Hut was my first job so it holds a special place in my pizza loving heart. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's not my all time favorite (Lou Malnatis, next time you visit Chicago you'll have to try their thin crust) but definitely one of my top ones. We go for the pepperoni thin crust extra sauce.
ReplyDeleteI love Pizza Hut thin crust cheese too! It is mostly nostalgic for me. When we were younger my brother and I would stay home when our parents went out on weekends. We always ordered "the hut" thin crust cheese. We ate the delicious pizza, watched movies and had the best time.
ReplyDeleteNo judging here. I love Pizza Hut too. Have you tried Campisis yet or Pizza Guy? I will pretty much eat any pizza but those are a couple I can never pass up.
ReplyDeleteHaha! I guess everyone is allowed some guilty pleasures now and again... ;-)
ReplyDeletePIzza hut is my favorite too! It's the best!
ReplyDeleteok I LOVE me some pizza hut stuffed crust...but not following you on the extra sauce thing. In fact, my bf and I get it with light sauce! haha. I also like the new pretzel crust option from them.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I are all about the cheese and extra sauce. But we're Papa John's fans all the way.
