The One Thing I've Been Too Ashamed To Tell You

I have something to tell you guys that I've been putting off and putting off and putting off. It's a very sensitive subject for me, and I'm confident that you're going to judge me for it. Some of you will click unfollow, some of you will be kind enough to stick around, but I'm sure you will forever have this information I'm about to give you engrained into the back of your mind. 

I have to be strong though, I can't put this off any longer and still feel as if I've been true to myself and to this blog. I'm so scared that you'll never look at me the same way as you once did. I'm petrified that no one will support anything I do, ever again. 

 This is something that I feel I have to do for me though. 

You see, this is regarding my boyfriend, Pete. 

I love pizza, I love it so much, but I have a favorite kind of pizza and in my 28 years on this planet no pizza has ever compared. I've had pizza in Chicago, I've had pizza in New York. I've had pizza for breakfast and pizza late at night after the bars have long closed down. I've had paper thin crust, I've had the deepest of dishes. I've had gourmet pizza that costs as much as a bottle of Patron for a single slice, and I've had 3 for 1 pizza out of the 7/11 spinning heater that sits next to the cash register. 

None compare. I want them to compare, I really do. I desperately do. Do you think I like living with this stigma? I'm a self-professed pizza addict, I desperately want to love some really hipster pizza place, or only eat pizza that is shipped directly to me by carrier pigeon right from the streets of NYC. 

I've tried pizza all over Dallas. I've tried pizza from Far North Dallas, South Dallas, West Dallas and East Dallas. I've tried pizza in Deep Ellum, Uptown and Oak Cliff. 

I've had Stonedeck



I've had Serious Pizza



I've had fried pizza
I've had pizza in Florida

I've had pizza in Knoxville

I've had pizza in New York

I've made pizza at home

And yes, sadly, pizza and I have slept together. It was college and we were young and in love. 




Every pizza is a very good pizza. It's a known fact that there is no such thing as bad pizza. 

 But to this day, only one kind of pizza is my favorite. 

 Only one kind of pizza never lets me down. 

 Only one pizza is the best pizza I've ever had.

    I AM TOTALLY WITH YOU. It's just so good! Everybody thinks I'm crazy. But I think they just don't want to admit that Pizza Hut is the best because it's not "real" pizza!

    I think it's great that you have an ultimate pizza that you call your numero uno! I don't agree with you but as a self proclaimed pizza obsessor I can honestly say I haven't met a pizza I didn't like - I LOVE Gas Station Pizza, but often times my heart just wants a Papa John's Pepperoni... an big greasy slice, then two days later I want my favorite gourmet joint in town to make me a pizza. I say PIZZA SISTERS UNITE! I love Pizza Hut, every once in a while... it tears me up but it hurts so good! haha ;)

    I LOVE PIZZA! & if you want to take your pizza obsession to the next level, Walmart has pizza footie pajamas, I mean not that I've seriously considered buying them every time I walk up to start work, but that can be our little secret right? ;)

    hahah- i love this! i love a good cheese pizza {papa john's for me- with the cheese dipping sauce on the side!} and pizza hut is home to the old 'book it' pins in elementary school- did you do that?! so i will forever love them.

    I personally prefer Papa John's, but I do love me some Pizza Hut breadsticks! My dream pizza night would be to have Papa John's pizza, Pizza Hut breadsticks and Domino's cinna-dots all delivered right to me at the same time ☺️

    Pizza hut was my favorite as a kid but something changed :(

    I'm mostly a margherita pizza snob these days, but I'm not ashamed to admit I think Costco's pizza is delicious!

    I'm in love with their breadsticks. Like, I will happily be fat for the seasony goodness that is breadstick and dipping sauce. And I do love their thin crust. They're waaay better than Domino's

    No judgement from me! I've had NY, Chicago, even pizza in Rome, but my all time favorite is a large pepperoni with cajun crust from Hungry Howies!!

    Also, I love that the post before this is about weight watchers!!

    no shame! pizza hut makes some good pizza! i get a cheese, bacon, and BBQ drizzle pizza and it's hands down one of my favorite pizzas.

    Hahhahah, I hate Pizza Hut with a passion! But I think it's because they had it at our dining hall in college, and I associate it with eating it while being sick from Crohn's Disease. But seriously though, there's no shame in loving pizza, no matter where it's from! It's just hard to go wrong with carbs and cheese.

    Pizza Hut is probably my least favorite delivery pizza ever, but to each their own! I'm sure that you would cringe that one of my favorites is Papa Johns. I think that you need to go to Italy next and see if pizza there strikes your fancy more than Pizza Hut ;)

    Nooooooooo lol. They used to be my favorite until I moved to New England where chains give way to Mom and Pop shops and now my favorite comes from a little place called Park Street Pizza near Boston...Mmmmmm, my mouth is watering just thinking about it haha. Go on with your bad self!

    It's not my all time favorite (Lou Malnatis, next time you visit Chicago you'll have to try their thin crust) but definitely one of my top ones. We go for the pepperoni thin crust extra sauce.

    I love Pizza Hut thin crust cheese too! It is mostly nostalgic for me. When we were younger my brother and I would stay home when our parents went out on weekends. We always ordered "the hut" thin crust cheese. We ate the delicious pizza, watched movies and had the best time.
