Lemon Twist Game Strong
Why is blogging motivation so damn fickle? I'm not sure if that is the correct use of the word fickle, seeing as I've never used it in a sentence before, but that is the word I'm going to go with to describe my motivation as of late. The word fickle makes me think of Ray Finkle, and that makes me want to pull my hair and yell LACES OUT at Dan Marino!
Ohhh shiny red ball.
Perhaps my attention span is why I'm having a hard time blogging lately.
A friend of mine asked me recently if I had ADD, and I nearly spit out my drink in shock at the question... "ME??! OMG, NO!!! I'm a Sagittarius though... Maybe that's what you're picking up on?" Now that I've had time to reflect on the question, I think she might be on to something.
Back to the point.... my blogging motivation struggles on Monday and Tuesday for some reason. So in an effort to keep things simple and easy around these parts on a Tuesday, I thought I'd do a good ole fashion photo dump of my camera roll over the past few weeks. Sounds like a plan, sounds like a real good plan.
1.
I understand that not everyone in this world is as attached to social media as I am, but what the heck am I supposed to do with all the pictures CB and I take? Should I just stop taking them so that I don't get sad each time I can't post it?
In today's case though, the batman mask is a suitable option. I look pretty goofy in this picture, but I love it so much because I feel like I look happy. And I am. Love is fun.
Also pictured: A Classic Old Fashioned + my Selfie Stick.
That is indeed the same selfie stick that destroyed my phone, yes I still use it.
2.
Not to be an overly dramatic female football fan, but Shoebox, you've annoyed me. I found this card at Kroger the other day and I think they meant to say football widower*.
3.
See!??!?
A rare sighting, none the less, but proof that a Jack Russell can calm down on occasion.
4.
A couple of weeks ago we had the most life changing BBQ at a gas station. I'm telling you, I don't even particularly like BBQ, but this wasn't your typical BBQ. This was something sent down from the heavens above, strictly for humans passing through Cresson, Texas.
Even the sign looks like a gift from heaven. If you live in DFW, you must take a day trip and visit BBQ on the Brazos before you die. The Dallas Observer would also agree with me. It'll change your life and you can thank me later.
5.
I made this about 3 weeks ago and I still can't figure out what to do with it. It doesn't make sense on a t-shirt, but it needs to be used for SOMETHING.
Flamingos + Football = Winning Combination. Any suggestions?
6.
This weekend I made homemade Bloody Marys while we watched the PGA Championship. I'll just go ahead and leave this here... and yes that's string cheese.
7.
CB and I played a round of scramble golf with 6 of our friends on Saturday. By some miracle, it really wasn't unbearably hot, dare I even say comfortable with a nice breeze. We played Stevens Park Golf Course, a course right down the street from our house, and the views on the back 9 were majestic.
I wore my dad's golf hat, I'd like to think that it brought me some of the luck I had throughout the day!
8.
I like Gee. He likes me. We're as happy as we can be!
9.
Remember how I told you that CB wanted a dining table or island in the kitchen somehow? Well we found the PERFECT little table for two (on sale even!) at Nebraska Furniture Mart.
Also a fun note, nearly everything that we've purchased that came in a box has been assembled! Hooray!
10.
Last but certainly not least is this How To: Lemon Twist Garnish tutorial from Style Me Pretty. My lemon twists have never looked better, and that is an important thing in life.
You never know, someone might break into your house, see that your lemon twist game strong, then leave because they are just too scared to mess with anyone who can make a lemon twist that looks that good. You just never know.
Okay. Toodles!
Randolph Macon! Central Virginia, represent! ha!
ReplyDeleteI love your flamingo glasses, by the way :)
That Flamingoal picture is amazing! It would be super cute as an iPhone background or something. And I would play golf if I could play on a course with that view. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteso many pretty pics! this makes me miss you and dallas and it's only been like a minute since i've left. ahhh. oh well. I will over come.
ReplyDeleteGoing to have to try that BBQ. Been in Dallas all my life and have never heard of it
ReplyDeleteFlamingoal might be my new favorite thing.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, the rarity of a calm Jack Russell. I figured out how to get mine to call it a day over the weekend when I hiked him like six miles. His 10 year old grumpy old man gave me the "if you are making me move again I may just pee on your sleeping bag look". Ha ha. Table is adorable too, great find.
ReplyDeleteA day that wasn't unbearably hot?? I didn't know that was a thing anymore!
ReplyDeleteFlamingoal - so classic. Maybe the cover of a notebook to jot down great ideas. I mean how can an idea go wrong when it's in a flamingoal notebook?
ReplyDeleteKoozie! Always make it into a koozie! Perfect for football season :)
ReplyDeletelove the table you got.

ReplyDeletePatiently waiting for the day we'll see Chalupa Batman's face. Is he in the witness protection program? Is he ACTUALLY batman and we can't reveal his identity? Is he ugly?
