Thank you to Lean Cuisine for sponsoring this blog post. Although I have been compensated for my time, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
If there is one thing I've mentioned about a million times on this blog, it's my love of Lean Cuisine. You know how friends will tag you on someone else's Instagram picture, and say something like,"@iamsarahwebb this reminds me of you!!"? Well, anytime I'm tagged, there is a 100% chance it will involve either a pizza or a Lean Cuisine. As far as I'm concerned, those are the two major food groups, and two things I cannot live without.
With that said, you can imagine my excitement to find out that I had been accepted as one of Lean Cuisine's Phenomenal Ambassadors. Ask CB, I'm pretty sure there was a ringing in his ear from the shriek I let out when I got the email. I'll be working with the brand all summer, sharing stories of great accomplishments and great food.
The reason for selecting ambassadors is to spread the word that Lean Cuisine is completely overhauling its brand with new bold ethnic flavors, new attributes, a more contemporary package and a new brand campaign. Today I'm talking about the new brand campaign, Feed Your Phenomenal™, which reflects Lean Cuisine's new purpose to feed the greatness in every woman.
As an introduction to their new campaign, Lean Cuisine has created a video encouraging women to weigh what really matters, their accomplishments. I, of course, cried when watching the video (per the usual, I'm a crier) as each woman played a beautiful round of show-and-tell featuring their proud accomplishments.
It got me thinking, "If I were featured in this video, what accomplishment would I show off to my peers?" I thought about the two little pups I've raised who greet me as if they could just explode from joy when I walk in the door, I thought about my diploma, I thought about moving by myself a thousand miles away to start a new life in Dallas, I thought about my relationship with my family and my boyfriend, but as proud as I am of those things, that wasn't the thing I am most proud of.
I am most proud of this blog and what it has accomplished. Some might see this space on the Internet and think, "That's a dumb thing to be that proud of, it's just a website." Venus Trapped in Mars is so much more than just a website to me. I built this.
I've given up and quit on projects I started more times than I care to count, but I never gave up on Venus Trapped in Mars. There are 696 published posts, 696 times I stayed up late to blog, 696 times I forced myself to go out and take photos even though I just wanted to watch Bravo, 696 times I took myself out of my comfort zone, 696 times I battled a lack of motivation, 696 times I tackled writer's block, 696 times I didn't give up, 696 times I didn't quit.
When I write posts on the serious side, people sometimes tell me that they admire that I'm not afraid to put myself out there. While I, of course, appreciate the kind words, no part of me is afraid to discuss parts of my life that aren't perfect. Life is hard, very hard. For that reason, in an effort to help others and to help myself, I am proud to put my struggles, insecurities, weaknesses and flaws all over this blog. 696 days in and 696 days out.
So if Lean Cuisine asked me to weigh my biggest achievement, this weightless website weighs in as my most proud accomplishment to date.

Your blog is awesome. I like your ideas, thoughts and your writing style. I also have my own blog PoweredEssay's blog dedicated to different topics related to writing papers. The main aim of this blog is to show how to write an essay, research paper etc.
I just checked out at Target with 15 Lean Cuisines... they are on sale lol I get them for my husband actually. Since they are frozen, the work perfectly for lunches because he refuses to anything in the work fridge lol
Wow, that video was so sweet! I would hope I would be weighed on my relationships with my friends, family, and husband. Those are the most important things to me.
hmm, i'd love to be weighed on kindness and little positive acts. i leave coupons in the grocery store next to the item if i decide not to get it. i like to think someone can use them, and gets a little giddy at the unexpected savings. btw, i love the paninis, those are really all the lean cuisines i buy. sometimes you need a changes up from packing a lunch meant sandwich for lunch, you know. thanks! b
I liked your post and video!! I wish people would weigh on me how hard it was to raise my son and daughter in my own after their Father died. I did a great job and they are both in college, and very good kids. I made mistakes, but I persevered and did it! my email-jewelwood55(at)gmail(dot)com
I wish I would be weighed by the wife and mother I am. Having been raised by parents who were each married 3 times, I am really proud of the fact that I've been married for 17 years to the same man, and we're expecting our 4th child together.
Ahhhh this totally made me tear up!! :) I wish people would weigh me on my accomplishments. Or weigh me on the type of person I am. Maybe that's something I should start doing for myself instead of focusing on the scale so much.
I should be weighed on what I have accomplished in my life. I graduated with a doctorate degree and a successful high school athlete. I look young for my age and I wish people would weigh me based on my intelligence, kindness, innocence, work ethic and compassion. I may be small and have the body of a 12 year old, but I wish people would look past my weight and size and judge me on the above qualities.
You know, sometimes, sponsored posts don't fit into a blog very well. But this is probably the most appropriate post you could have done. I mean, unless pizza can somehow sponsor VTIM?
I'm interested in hearing more about this Lean Cuisine partnership you have. Lately, my GI system hasn't been cooperating with my normal menu and so I caved and bought a few of their meals the other day. My big issue with these pre-packaged frozen meals is their ridiculously high sodium content. It was practically an act of congress to find any with 20-22% sodium, and even that still seems pretty high. Most were 30-37% sodium per serving and there's no way I'll allow convenience to reign for that kind of sodium content. Would love to hear if you have any opportunity to provide feedback with developers. :)
hmm I wish people would weigh me on my....effort. And truly deeply look past the surface. some days effort is just getting out of bed, because depression takes over. Some days, effort is working really hard and extending kindness and meeting goals and deadlines. But trying at all is the most important, and sometimes hardest, part.
I'd like to be weighed on how well I take care of my family, and also on how I make mistakes but always try to be humble and apologize for them, and keep trying to improve. maddiembrubaker {at} gmail [dot] com
I also love Lean Cuisine. Eating Lean cuisine a few times each week has helped me with loosing weight. Plus, their dinners are delicious. I wish people would weigh me on being kind to others. Thanks so much. rickpeggysmith(at)aol(dot)com
I wish I was weighed on the kind hearted person I am and that I raised 4 kids on my own and they are all on a good path in life. cshell090869 at aol dot com
I would like to be weighed on my good intentions and positive attitude and the effort I put into being the best person I can be not only to my family but to others each and every day.
I wish they would weigh me on what they don't see- like staying in a marriage when most people would have left over what has happened in it, or the work of getting my associate degree with two little kids at home, or getting up every day when I'm especially depressed. A heavy answer, but that's what I wish they could see.
I want to be weighed on my devotion to our family. I work hard to provide for them and to ensure we stay active, healthy and well nourished. aleksnearing gmail com

I can totally understand the point you're making here. Not enough people are weighed (measured) by their character and the things they've stuck with.
