Everyone Has A Favorite
I know that people in my life, my Mom and Helene, care about me when they both text/call to wish me a "Happy Miranda Day!" first thing in the morning. That's right people, today is MIRANDA LAMBERT CONCERT DAY!
^^^ Me = Stewie ^^^
I'm so excited right now that I may not be able to form coherent sentences in this blog post (but what else is new... baaaazing!). As you know by now, Miranda is my favorite person on this planet, and who I consider the GLA. I have a pair of {nosebleed} tickets to see THE Miranda Lambert, in concert, tonight March 12th, at American Airlines Arena in Dallas Freaking Texas. For the past three years at work, I've spent this week traveling for work, so I wasn't sure if I'd be in town or not for the concert, hence the nosebleed tickets. That's ok though, I'll scream loud enough that she will see me,
"Ohhh hey Sar! I see you up there Guuuuuuuuurl! So glad you could make it. Thank heavens you didn't have to travel for work this week like you normally do! I'll text you after the show, k?" - Miranda on the mic mid-concert yelling up to me in section nosebleed 304.
This will technically be my third Miranda concert. I say technically, because I saw her perform back in 2006, but she was the opener in a free concert at a place called Innsbrook After Hours in Richmond, Virginia. FREE... Can you imagine? She had just finished in third place on the show Nashville Star, which was like American Idol for country music. She was touring with fellow newcomer Jason Aldean, you may have heard of him?
My first time seeing Miranda headline was in September of 2013, here in Dallas at a much smaller venue than American Airlines.
I also took a road trip all by myself to visit her store, The Pink Pistol, in her hometown of Lindale, Texas. Miranda grew up just an hour and a half outside Dallas, so tonight's concert is a homecoming for my bestie! NO I DIDN'T MOVE TO DALLAS JUST SO I COULD BE CLOSER TO MIRANDA'S HOMETOWN...ok I might have.
I pretty much bought one of everything, including a pink "I Like Big Mutts and I Cannot Lie" cup that I drink from pretty much every day and twice on Sundays.
Oh yeah, and I was Miranda for Halloween.
Maybe I'm obsessed. And maybe that is a little creepy. And maybe I'm sorry not sorry. Follow me on instagram if you want to fan girl vicariously through me tonight!!
So I got really excited on Bloglovin when I saw the title of this post paired with the first photo of Jack Daniels. Although I was a little disappointed it wasn't entirely about whiskey, it was still a good post. Have fun at the concert, and be thankful for such loving friends and family in your life like Helene and Miranda ;)
ReplyDeleteI had the same feeling when I saw the Jack! But I also love Miranda, but maybe not as much!
DeleteThat Stewie GIF! I'm dying!
ReplyDeleteI love Innsbrook in Richmond! I saw Brantley Gilbert there for free :) Also Miranda is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI got to see Miranda last year at the Oregon Jamboree. She puts on a hell of a show! I'm attending the Oregona Jamboree again this year and am totally excited for Keith Urban, Lee Brice, Hunter Hayes and a whole bunch more...Is it the end of July yet?!?
ReplyDeletePLEASE INSTA A LOT. that's not a request, it's an order! so excited for you! and i suggest sneaking into some closer seats or just up front so you can meet her. I have a feeling y'all would get along swell. YAY!
ReplyDeleteYou are going to have such an amazing time! I'm super excited for you!
ReplyDeleteSide note since you brought up opening acts...my very first concert ever was Garth Brooks in 1992. When I got the tickets, I didn't know about opening acts, so when I saw the Special Guest listed, I was like, "Who the heck is Martina McBride??" It's SO fun to see people before they are stars.
That sounds like so much fun! Have a great time! :)
ReplyDeleteHave the best time!!! Sounds like a blast!
ReplyDeleteooooh em gee. I am super jealous that you get to see her tonight + I would be zero parts surprised if she did call you out mid concert, just saying.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! I hope you have an amazing time!
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss that she was coming here? I'm sad. Have an amazing time!
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous! I've seen her once and she was so great but that was years ago. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteHave a blast!!! Do you watch Blake on The Voice? He always cracks me up and when he talks about Miranda, you can tell how much he loves her. Awww <3
ReplyDeleteYAS! I love Miranda Lambert, she's pretty much my #1 Woman Crush & I want to be her best friend ever forever and ever.
ReplyDeleteYou are the absolute cutest. I hope you have an absolutely amazing time!
ReplyDeleteShe gave a free concert in Charlotte at the Belk Bowl in December. ( and you are one of the only people I do not think I need to explain what the Belk Bowl is) and her hubby Blake played at our Bluesfest last year and she came with him ( and I lead the backstage volunteers so hello Miranda. Have an awesome time tonight
ReplyDeleteI'm a big Miranda fan as well. The first time I saw her was at Austin City Limits in 2004, literally just months after her appearance on "Nashville Star," and I ended up sitting with her mom and aunt!! I've seen her a few more times since then. She's fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThat cup! I need that cup! I have 2 big mutts that are supposed to be part Great Dane/part German Shepherd, but they're really just 100% mutt! I need that cup! I hope you had a fantastic Miranda Day.
ReplyDeleteHey we all have one of those artists. I hope you had one hell of a Miranda day and you two caught up over beer in your matching pink cups afterwards and discussed CB and Blake.
ReplyDeleteMiranda is my woman crush! She is such a bad ass! You can also always count on her music to speak for you when your words fail! Her concerts are also pure awesomeness! I'm gonna go stalk your insta so I can fan girl through you lol last year she had Jukebox Mafia touring with her and they are awesome Josh the lead signer is really sweet. You'll enjoy them if they're still opening up right before she takes the stage. Have tons of fun! :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great time all night
