It was a long night last night but Gee woke up this morning for just long enough to go outside for his morning walk, and most importantly to eat! I was so relieved to see him eating with no problems, especially since the nurse told me it would be difficult to get him to eat over the next few days.
The poor little guy would break your heart if you saw him. His little mouth keeps bleeding on and off, but boy is he a trooper. I'm proud of the little guy!
Meanwhile, in crazy, turn-down-for-what Veenie world, she is wondering what in the heck is going on with her puppy brother. But but but why can't he come out to play with me moooooom? Don't worry, I told her that Gee would be up and back to himself in no time at all! All he needs is a little R&R for a week or two... but don't we all?!!?
I'm going to keep it short and sweet for you today, because I have Kristyn from Chits and Giggles taking over with a drinking game that I personally cannot wait to play. Want to know something cool, Kristyn and I are IRL friends! Me, Helene, Ashten and Kristyn all met up for brunch when Helene and I were in Atlanta for TomorrowWorld! Cool right? But we are lousy bloggers because, get this, no pictures to document the event. I'm not kidding. How sad is that?!?
Guess that is a pretty darn good excuse to go back to Atlanta for brunch again, ASAP!
So now I'll stop yappin, and let Kristyn take it away!

Are you sick of seeing all these Christmas commercials before Thanksgiving? I know it's like this every year, but I saw some from Best Buy before Halloween. I mean, seriously?
So, let's do something about it, shall we? I say we make this problem work in our favor. Let's create a drinking game out of it!
Grab your favorite beverage (after work - of course) and let's get nice and toasty.
- A company is already advertising Black Friday sales.
- A company plays holiday music.
- Santa makes an appearance.
- The "Alice in Wonderland" Target commercial plays. You will know what I'm talking about if you haven't seen it yet.
- The big bow shows up in a car commercial...Lexus - I'm looking at you.
- Walmart shows their Hub commercial with Melissa Joan Hart and Anthony Anderson.
- Toys R Us shows a commercial.
- You actually see a commercial about Thanksgiving.
- You get teary eyed during a commercial.
- The music played during the commercial is a popular song.
- You will go shopping on Black Friday (please don't go on Thanksgiving day).
Be sure to get social with Kristyn ::: Blog // Bloglovin // Twitter // Insta // Facebook // Pinterest
haha I love this game!!!!! I totally want to do this and I know my man friend would be all about it. Talk about a fabulous idea! why don't you live in Cleveland so we can do this together!?!?
ReplyDeleteso happy to hear that he is eating- that is so important!
ReplyDeleteUh oh, prayers for General on a speedy recovery! And I'm going to need that drinking game this year. Working at Target during the holidays is stressful, especially when they've decided to open at 6:00 on Thursday night :( The struggle is real.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that Gee is doing better... I just hate when my fur babies feel bad, or have to have surgery - we went through an emergency surgery with my cat last year, helpless doesn't begin to describe it. Glad he's resting and doing better!!! oxox
ReplyDeleteUgh, Christmas before Thanksgiving really chaps my ass!!! I love Christmas, when it's DECEMBER!!!!! Why is everyone so quick to rush through the most bomb ass holiday of Thanksgiving? Good food, family and FOOTBALL!!! HELLOOOO! Merry Thanksgiving - the Pre-game Tailgate before Christmas arrives for the big show! ox
Glad he's doing better. I tell my girls the dog is my favorite child....they know its true most days :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad he's ok. When I saw "bleeding off and on" I had to go back through your posts and find out what was wrong. Poor baby! I hope he has a smooth recovery!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been exposed to Christmas yet, which is ironic, because I wouldn't mind. I guess no drinks for me!
Aw, poor little guy! It's a relief to hear he's eating though. I hope he recovers soon!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Gee seems to be recovering well!
ReplyDeleteThis drinking game is perfect lol
Glad your pup is doing better! Fur kid or human kid, love is love ;) xoxo, ganeenban

What a fun drinking game! I'm definitely going to have to try this. On a more serious note OMG your poor baby! So glad to hear he's being a trooper. That Beagle(?) in him probably hates having anything mess with his food. That's how our Boomer is.
ReplyDeleteI know we've already talked about this but Warner and I are praying for Gee and hope he gets better soon. #teamgee
ReplyDeleteWe love you guys!
I don't do drinking games but this does sound like a fun game
