Haha. Funny joke iPhone alarm clock. The weekend can't possibly be over yet?
If you look in the dictionary under perfect weekend, you'd see a picture of me, standing in front of a giant calendar with the dates August 8-10, 2014 clearly visible, giving the thumbs up. Which is weird because over the weekend I did all of the things, and none of the things at the same time. Let's just say that there was a lot of golf watching by day, then finally leaving the apartment after the sun had set (#vampireprobs). I'm not sure I saw actual daylight all weekend, and to be perfectly honest with you, I'm good with that. With the crazy, running around non-stop life I seemed to live in July, I think a little one on one time with the ole (new) apartment was totally reasonable!
Friday night I went out in my own neighborhood, aka my favorite place to be. I know I go on and on and on about how much I love Deep Ellum, but just to really drive my point home, I love Deep Ellum. It seriously has everything you need, why would you ever go anywhere else?
Before I headed out, I attempted to do an #ootn picture in my living room for you guys...
Then decided if I was ever going to make my dream of fashion blogger come true, I couldn't hide inside taking pictures! Plus, that would mean I'd have to clean that mirror. So instead, I was brave and ventured outside where people stared, pointed and threw tomatoes at me while I posed. Just kidding of course, they mainly just threw stalks of celery. P.S. I like clothes, like, more than a friend.... for anyone who doesn't know that. *cough**cough*.
For the record, this top/dress is on sale for only $20!!!
I wore as a top, but I'm also 5'8 so that was far more appropriate... because butt cheeks!
After a full night of darts and maybe a cocktail or two (give or take 5-6) golf was the only thing on the Saturday agenda. And what a golf match it was, did anyone else watch the PGA Championship over the weekend? Holy McIlroy. This kid is ridiculous, is he the new Tiger?
Saturday night I went out in Ft. Worth for the very first time ever! Talk about love at first sight. We hit up a place called Magnolia Motor Lounge, where we saw the coolest band....ever.... Shotgun Friday.
The guy in the middle was playing an electric washboard. So that happened. See also: one of the girls said he actually has his doctorate and is a professor at TCU. I'm sorry, what? They combined Beastie Boys and bluegrass. Talk about awesome.
Then skeeball happened at the bar next door. Free skeeball. In a bar. That is a dangerous thing for Sarah Webb. I once went to Chicago, a quick 72 hour trip, and forced everyone to stay at the ESPN zone for over 6 hours until I beat the hotshot basketball game. What can I say, I am competitive, it is a problem I am actively working on improving....
Not pictured, hitting the 10,000 bucket 3 times! #boom.
Pro Tip: Always go for the top left, or top right when playing skeeball. That is the only way to beat the game.
This smile that will not leave my face makes me not even care as much that it's Monday! So yeah, let's just say life is good over in this neck of the woods.
(P.S.... how mad is everyone getting that I'm not spilling more of the beans?)
JK LOL LYLAS XOXO, Gossip Girl.
