Ideas tend to pop into my head and I usually run with that idea within seconds. I'm a little impulsive. Sitting at work on Friday afternoon, only minutes left until quittin' time, I had the idea to road trip to The Pink Pistol in Lindale, Texas. Miranda Lambert is hands down my favorite person on the planet, and I get super creepy excited for every move she makes. What can I say, I'm a fan girl! But show me someone who doesn't think Miranda is a bad ass and I'll show you a liar.
So back to my story. Lindale is Miranda's hometown. The Pink Pistol location in Lindale is actually the second location Miranda opened, the first is in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Nothing is sold online, and the intention behind both stores is to bring business to small town USA, which I love. Now, I'm a city girl all the way. I grew up in a smaller(ish) town--- Midlothian, Va--- and now after leaving, nothing will get me out of a big city. BUT visiting for a few hours? Oh sure, no problem!
So Saturday morning I hopped in my car and began that hour and a half drive to Lindale, Tx! Population 5,149. When I arrived at The Pink Pistol, I cried. I called my mom and asked why I am a nutcase, crying over a store that was about to take all of my money, the answer is still TBD.
So here are my pictures I snapped. Even though I brought my nice camera, I used my iPhone and snapped fast because I was trying to play it cool. AKA-- I was looking around and over my shoulder the whole time waiting to be surprised my Miranda.
The next morning I woke up with an equally exciting idea, an idea I brought home 4 and a half hours later. Because, as we know, if I didn't have it I would have died. After my first ride to Klyde Warren Park, which serves beer and has free wifi, I can safely say that this was the best purchase ever made.
Next life goal: Use that dang nice camera I own once in a while.
OMG this is so cool! I love that bike and I love the awkward "I'm acting cool" photo. I always feel like an idiot posing for photos with my big camera too! Hah, WHY? I'm never gonna see these people again.
ReplyDeleteyou know what's weird? i didn't even know they had wifi! good to know. lets go on a bike date and miranda date soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm obsessed with your bike...seriously! The color, the style, the basket and cup holder...*Swoon!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a pretty cool little bike trip. ;)
Tell me you at least came home with booze or some of the seasoning "shit" from Pink Pistol? And I do have to agree..the bike was a great investment..the beer in tow just makes it even better.
