Cause her ass Big Enough To Sit a Cup On Her Booty (Goodness!)... For those of you not familiar with the lyrical stylings of the artist E-40, this is a line from his rap song 'You and Dat'. My first thought when I heard this line of the song on the radio was, I should try that. I bet my behind IS big enough to sit a cup on my booty.
Thankfully, it wasn't.
But that still doesn't discredit the fact that the shear possibility of being able to do so crossed my mind.
I am one of those people that can scan a room, and in 10 seconds, I can identify anyone in the room that I am an acquaintance of, regardless if I am looking at the back of their head or the front. I think it is a skill I have been able to develop over the last few years of weight gain. I can see someone I know, and make a B-Line in the opposite direction so they won't have to see me and the weight I have put on over the last several years (post college mind you).
The Freshman 15 wasn't my problem. My healthy habit credits from high school transferred to college. Don't get me wrong, I can party, and believe you me I did, but I would always find a way to eat healthy throughout the week and get to spin class with my girlfriends.
I know I'm on the right track, but it is slow slow slow weight loss thus far. After about 3 and a half months, I've only lost 15 pounds. What's weird is that I'm actually ok with that, because a lifestyle change is forever, so there is no real hurry I suppose.
Long story short, I don't want to scan large groups of people to decide if I am ok to remain in place or not. My goal for the next several months (or years) is to be able to confidently, and excitedly greet old friends with a self confidence that only can come from looking good, and feeling great. I may not be there yet, but I'm on the right path and I'm focused!
