I feel like everyone knows someone who successfully started a relationship on match.com. Guess who I know that started a relationship on Match? My Mom! Not only did she start a relationship, but she married the guy too! On Valentine's Day back in 2009 my Mom, Ann, married Bobby who she met on Match. Cool, huh?
Back in 09, V-day fell on a Saturday. I think all the men at the wedding were relieved they had built-in Valentine's Day plans to take their wives to! We all put on our finest black tie and had ourselves a grand ole party to celebrate the union of my Mom and her new husband! I adore him and they really make a great team. And to think, it all began on match.com!
And of course, duh, yes, I was the Maid of Honor!
I like to consider my Mom and Bobby to be the pioneers of Match relationships since they are going on 5 years of marriage now!
Love is out there, all you have to do is open your laptop! Whether you are 25 or 55, starting over from a breakup, or finally ready to pursue true love for the first time, I promise, Match is the right choice for you. Match.com's peak season, the site's busiest time of year, kicked off New Year's Day and spans all the way through Valentine's Day (also known as the Caudle's anniversary in our family!), where Match will see a 25-30% increase in registrations to the site.
Why the rush to log in online in the new year? In a recent poll, Match.com found that 51% of singles' New Year's resolutions will be to socialize more and focus on finding that special someone, making the desire to connect with someone a driving force for singles' to get online after the holidays.
To get you online during prime time, Match.com is offering a 3-days free "date pass" for singles! Simply log onto www.match.com/datepass to claim your 3-days free offer.
Who knows, you could get lucky in love like my mom and Bobby, or like this Match.com couple— have you seen their proposal?

This is a sponsored post for Match.com, but all opinions are my own, and my Mom's of course.
that is so cool and so sweet. i think in this day and age meeting people online is so natural. we use the internet and our computers for so much, why not meet the one you love?!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun story! You look so much like your mom!
ReplyDeleteYou and your mom are both so beautiful! I love hearing happy stories like this :)
ReplyDeleteI met my honey on Match : ) I'm glad your momma did too!
ReplyDeleteI love hearing happy love stories :) I met my husband on an internet dating site. We have been together for 4 years.
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwww how exciting!!! Congratulations to your mom! That wedding looked like a blast!
ReplyDeleteThat video KILLS ME!
ReplyDeleteAww that is so lovely! It has put a smile on my face. I've never tried online dating but always get told I should as I am so picky!! Haha!! And of course you both looked beautiful! X
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool! I actually met my husband online. It wasn't on match, but another dating website! Your mom looks so happy in all the pictures! That's so awesome!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! I met my fiance on a dating site as well. I'm glad internet dating has less of a stigma attached to it now. It is more socially acceptable and common these days. Congrats to your mom!
ReplyDeleteI have been on match for the last 2.5 months and it has been a bust thus far. I don't know if online dating is in the cards for me :/ but I am glad your mom found love :)
ReplyDeleteI had the same kind of experience. I signed on to Match for 3 months. 90% of the guys I was contacted by were either 20+ years my senior, or just overly creepy. I was sending out thoughtful emails right and left, and either never heard anything back, or they would look at my profile and not write back...talk about "ouch"! I went on one date, and it was great. We had a great time and went on a couple more dates, but it ended up just not working out. That was my one and only date the entire 3 months.
DeleteI also found out that over 50% of the people that you see in your searches aren't even active members!! I don't know why Match keeps their profiles on there. It's like a total tease! Even now, my account hasn't been active for months, and I'm still getting emails that some guys have messaged me. That's so not cool for those guys! False hope!
For now I think I'm done with online dating. Maybe one day I'll make my way back on there, but for now I'm going to enjoy meeting people face-to-face.
I know a lot of now married couples that met on Match.com, including my sister, although she initially told people she met her man "at a steakhouse." ;) Glad it worked out for your mom!
ReplyDeletePerfect! You and your mom are adorable!
ReplyDeleteI actually met my guy on Match. I've had some dating disasters from there but it was pretty fun.
ReplyDeleteTwins! (You and your mom, not your mom and Bobby, obvs.)
ReplyDeleteI love a good love story!! This makes me so happy!
ReplyDeletetoo presh. people can hate all they want about meeting online, but they are dummies!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute and heartwarming. I love it! And I love how much your mom rocked that wedding dress! xx
ReplyDeleteso cute! my momma and her fiancé met online!
ReplyDeleteah! i love this! congratulations to your mom :) my husband and i met online (i was on the site for a week!) we chatted via emails, went out on a date and we have been together ever since :) xo jillian - cornflake dreams
ReplyDeleteSo cute! You guys look so much alike I love it!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your mom! That's awesome. The two of you are gorgeous and I LOVE that picture with all three generations. That's a great photo to have.
ReplyDeleteMy sister's wedding photographer's met on Match and were in one of the Match commercials. It was so funny because I didn't know until after the wedding and when she said they were in a commecial I suddenly was like OMG I knew they looked familiar! Haha. They're so cute, with two kids and they both are photogrpahers and own their own company.

Awe. What a great story!
ReplyDeleteI have a good friend who told me many years ago that he had a new girlfriend and I asked where he met her. His response was Match. I said "no, but really where did you meet her". He was serious and now 4 years later they are tying the knot this May!
It's crazy how popular and not taboo it is to try online dating these days, but I think it's great because it allows people to meet people they never would have met otherwise!
Sweetest story ever!! I love real life fairy tale love stories like this :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet & it's nice to see happy endings from online dating. It gives proof that you don't have to sit around waiting to find love, you can make it happen!

My best friend and her husband (eek! Still weird saying that cuz they just got married this last weekend!) met on match a little over 3 years ago. They are seriously THE PERFECT COUPLE. Match is obviously doing something right!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so great they met and married. My SIL's sister met her husband on match too. I am not so lucky.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great story about your mom! I totally agree it seems like everyone knows at least one person who met on match.com
ReplyDeleteYour mom's wedding looks so beautiful! (Her dress; your dress!) Although my husband and I met in real life, I used match before meeting him and thought it was pretty fun! I do think that location is important for the type of experience one has - I was in northern CA, so a lot of people were online. My friends in small towns have not had the same experience, as less people are online nearby...
ReplyDeleteHow adorable is your mom? GAH! So cute! And those dance moves Sarah...killin' em.
ReplyDeleteAww- this is so inspiring to those out there that haven't found love yet! I wish my mom would find someone, like yours did.. You can certainly tell that that beautiful lady is your mama. You look a lot a like, yet.. there's another look to you, that must come from your daddy-o.
ReplyDeleteaww I love this! So happy for your mom!
ReplyDeleteYou look just like your mama, and she looks slightly like a gorgeous Jamie Lee Curtis!
you are going to age good my dear! ;)
Wow! You are truly a spitting image of your mom! Two beautiful women! Lucky girl!
ReplyDeleteUmmm how adorable is this post?! LOVE. I agree with Helene - meeting people online is SO natural these days!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful women in beautiful dresses
ReplyDeleteWowza, your mom made one BEAUTIFUL bride!!
ReplyDeleteSUCH A CUTE STORY! I actually met my husband through a blogger I'd never met in real life. We lived two hours away so she set me up with her friend. 8 weeks later we were engaged. I'm sure glad I have a blog!
ReplyDeleteNo lie, your Mom looked GORG!
ReplyDeleteAww, yay for your mom - she looks super happy! And you guys are TWINS, holy moly!
ReplyDeleteI met my boyfriend of 5 years online! But not match.com ;)
You and your mom are twins just too adorable.
ReplyDeleteI'm not dating material let alone online dating material. Like I'm to independent and much of an a$$hole or so I'v been told by guys.
How adorable are you two! I gave online dating a whirl, it was not my thing. However, I'm so happy for those who are able to meet someone!

ReplyDeleteI'm joining everyone else in saying... OMG, you look just like your mom!
ReplyDeleteI met my husband online, but it was before Match.
How cool for your mom and her husband! :-) My cousin works for Match, they seem like a pretty great company.

Well, your mom and her husband both are looking gracious. It is an amazing couple for sure and looking very beautiful as well. There are several dating sites like match allowing people to find their soul mate very easily like this. One of the vary prominent dating sites allowing iranian singles to find love can be found at GoIranian at https://www.goiranian.com
