I've noticed people on Pinterest constantly do "Fonts I love" lists. I've done them as well. One thing I've not seen done yet is a list of fonts that are tuuuuurible. If you are using any of these fonts, or any fonts that even remotely resemble any of these fonts, take them off your blog right now and switch them for one of these fonts here! Oh, and unlike most of my font guides, I'm not giving you the link to download these, for obvious reasons.
so i have a question: how come you don't like these fonts? there are fonts i don't like either; mainly because i cant read them (anything script) and some aren't even web friendly.

YES! I can't stand curlz mt, and we all know comic sans is just a joke these days. So pinning this!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge fan of Budmo, but man it comes in handy for theatre themed things. And I was obsessed with Curlz as a 13 year old, so that's a huge no now.

Most of these fonts are pretty awful, but I don;t understand why you chose some of them. What's wrong with Courier?

I'm a fourth grade teacher and we are explicitly TOLD to use Comic Sans for everything we write (tests, quizzes, worksheets, letters to parents, etc.) Apparently some fonts (like Times New Roman) stress kids out because of the little tick marks on each letter, so they make us choose something that doesn't have 'em!

comic sans was cool in 4th grade. not anymore...blah! and culz mt, barf. i just did a group presentation, and the person that organized our powerpoint used that font. it was embarrassing to present our project with that font.

ReplyDeletecurlz mt makes me want to vomit. it reminds me my middle school days when everyone had curlz MT monograms on their LL Bean bookbags and I had stupid block print. Obviously my mom was trying to ruin my social life.

ReplyDeleteHilarious. Something that bugs the CRAP out of me is my husband has comic sans as the font on all his company t-shirts. Granted it's been the same design/font for like a bazillion years but still. SO NOT OK!!!
