Ohhhh hello blog. How ya dern?
TMI?
Sorry, just trying tomake you feel sorry for me paint an accurate picture for you.
I had quite the Thursday-Sunday but I've been sick as a dang dog the past few days. Climate changes kill me. Or maybe I'm just allergic to Florida? Either way, I'm a firm believer that a full dosage of NyQuil and a 7pm bedtime two nights in a row will solve any illness. I'm not back to 100% but I'm close enough to function without blood gushing out of my nose each time I sneeze.
TMI?
Sorry, just trying to
I traveled to Florida for work this past weekend, but the night before I left I went and played tourist at reunion tower which is easily my favorite place downtown. It spins constantly (which honestly makes you a bit queasy) but you can see panoramic views of Dallas! I also got this sweet t-shirt. Dallas is apparently the capital of America... who knew?
The next morning I flew to Ft. Lauderdale for the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show. What I love about my job is that we designate the first day of the trip as the, "Travel Day." No work needs to be done on travel day, and I'm a-ok with that. So I decided to get some blog designing done and eat a crap ton of the most delicious pizza ever from Anthony's.
The next day we headed to work at the boat show. This show is also known as the mega-yacht show, as you can see below. Not sure what a pink convertible has to do with boats but it sure was cute!
And then the most amazing thing happened, I found out the GMC booth had NFL players signing autographs on both Saturday and Sunday. I got to meet the running back for the Miami Dolphins, Lamar Miller, and the wide receiver, Brian Hartline.
I almost got them to sign my Cowboys koozie... didn't feel like a dolphin fan beat down though.

I get terribly motion sick on boats but these pictures make me want one anyways. And maybe a cure for motion sickness while I'm dreaming big.
ReplyDeleteI LIVE in Fort Lauderdale! Can't believe you were here breathing the same air as me, haha! So jealous of your autographs! I'm a huge Dolphin fan! I've met Brian Hartline before, but not Lamar Miller. So cool!! And yes...the boats are huge here!

ReplyDeleteLove the wallpaper! Cute.
ReplyDeleteMan, you have a great job! I wish I had perks like that! Looks like you lucked out with the NFL players too. I liked that one of them signed, "Nice dress." How cute is that?!
ReplyDeletePeople own yachts like that? My god. That's awesome that you found the NFL players. You're a girl after my own heart.
ReplyDeleteSign me up for your job!
ReplyDeleteDo you receive company discounts on those yachts? ;)
ReplyDeleteWe really should have gotten a drink while you were here. Ft Lauderdale is awesome for somethings., yachts, spending money and drinking are a few of those. Way to go meeting the players, Hartline is a jerk though, you should have had him sign the Dallas coozie!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun work trip! Love the pink Lambo!!
