Hey kids! Quick post for this little girl today. I have SO many emails to catch up on, blogs to design and work to get done before my 15 day long work trip to Tampa, Florida this Friday! I wanted to share some snippets from my weekend with you guys!
Friday night I went to a white party in downtown Dallas as Brandi's date! Brandi won Helene's giveaway for Dallas Social clubs and was so kind to invite me along! I was thrilled to get to go! I also finally got to meet Michael, Helene's husband! He was so kind, as I assumed he would be! We had dinner, drinks and danced the night away!
I also tried to figure out my new camera...........
Also I think I found my new apartment! Get this though, I went to put a lease on the until that had a view of the downtown Dallas skyline, and wouldn't you know it, someone put a lease on it about an hour before i got there! Instead, I think I am going to put a lease on a unit overlooking fair park, not as exciting but I'll be able to see the ferris wheel year round! Here are some pictures of my new neighborhood. I'll have a mohawk in no time!
And what would apartment hunting be without an apartment hunting selfie (and a pic of my giraffes)? Have a great three day week, y'all!
I love the concept of the Social Club white parties, even though I look awful in white. I'm jealous you got to hang with Helene.
ReplyDeleteI spent a day in a drunken haze in Deep Ellum many moons ago on a work trip.
Looks like all had fun..enjoy your trip!
ReplyDeleteApartment hunting is so stressful! I'm currently in the process as well. I'm glad you finally found a place though! Your new neighborhood looks fun! I'm hoping to head back south, most likely to Dallas next year! Maybe we'll be neighbors haha
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to go a white party (ever since I heard about P Diddy/Diddy's/whatever the hell he's going by now)!
ReplyDeleteYour area looks awesome. Yay to that white party!
ReplyDeleteYou ladies look beautiful!!! congrats on finding your new apartment!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finding some new digs. Looks like the white party was a success. White is never good for me - I spill.

ReplyDeletelook at us all sweatin' like it's the 80s. does that make sense? no. great. once you get an apartment I'm coming over for a sleepover!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're getting the hang of your new camera! I can't wait to get one, I just can't decide which one I want! I may be weird, but I LOVE apartment shopping.
ReplyDeleteI really love that giraffe wall hanging, seeing as how they are my favorite things EVER. I need.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun party and new neighborhood!
ReplyDeleteWhite club parties are so fun! Excited to explore your new neck of the woods with you via blog stalking :)
ReplyDeleteI love Deep Ellum! Haven't had a chance to truly explore it yet, but I'm definitely going to have to plan a DART trip down there if for nothing else than good backgrounds for pictures...
ReplyDeleteCannot wait to see pictures of your apartment! downtown is way fancy!
ReplyDeleteLook at you looking all fine!! The white party looks like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a really cool neighborhood! I can't wait to see the new apartment!
ReplyDeleteThat camera worked wonders to not show all the sweating that happened that night! And congrats on the apartment!!
ReplyDeleteGuuuurrrlll... those photog skills are the bees knees! Love me a good white party. You all looked fab!
ReplyDeleteI remember when Deep Elum was not the place you wanted to be in Dallas. I was a kid then but totally remember sitting in the car at a stoplight and watching this crazy guy with a lime green Mohawk go by and stick is tongue out at us and do the rockstar sign with his hand. I haven't been back to Dallas in ages but I hear that area of town is pretty cool now.
ReplyDeleteLoving your new pro-photog skills! The one with the sparklers?! Damn, girl. Also loving your new neighborhood and hoping we get to see more pics! I've never been to Texas but I sure want to go.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I love your dress! And the giraffe art is to die for... I saw something similar (or maybe it's exact) from Mad Men and I've been coveting them ever since. So jealous!
ReplyDeleteYour new hood looks super fun. And love the pics from you new cam! Well the ones where I can see you guys
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are gorgeous!!! Looks like yall had such a blast. Hope whichever unit you get, you have a texas blogger house warming party. please and thank you.

ReplyDeleteumm sorry but i didn't read any of this because your title contained the phrase "big d" and i'm immature and thought of dirty things first and had to come and comment on that. BYYYYYYYE.
ReplyDeleteThat white party looks awesome! I'm sure they do that in NYC but something tells me it would be a bit shit-showier here...and not in a good way.
ReplyDeleteA white party? That makes me nervous. I imagine spilling something on myself within 5 minutes of getting there. Your new neighborhood looks awesome.
ReplyDeletewhen i read "white party" my initial thought was that you meant a party for only white people LOL!
