Dirty Gin Martini paired with kid cuisine. It really brought out the water flavor of the corn.
I woke up early with giddy excitement (see below) and went to Starbucks to get some bloggy designing done. Then killed time strolling around Dallas, exploring my own city like a tourist. Sometimes it is just beyond relaxing to get out by yourself and just stroll! I also checked out the apartment scene uptown. Boy would I love to walk to everything I need... Dinner, drinks, groceries etc...
Then I went home to get ready for dinner with the Dancing Queen herself, Helene. We had a delish tex-mex dinner at the Blue Goose cantina. She also brought her friend Ally who was a doll and we instantly clicked as well.
After dinner, we went back to Helene's house for Champagne! Only the second blate and I already got invited to come inside!
Now, I know Helene SAYS she can dance. She talks about how much she loves to dance. But what we all really want to know... is this true??
YES.
I even danced (flailed around)
I wish I had better photography skills to prove how good of a dancer Helene was. But you will have to settle for my word. She killed the club. No really, we tried paddles, CPR everything we could think of. The club was pronounced DOA.
Then I went and passed out in Helene's guest room (thanks buddy!)
I did not feel good. Not good at all. Food poisoning I'm sure. I bet it was the Fish Tacos at dinner and in no way the Fireball shots.
I would have done this laundry I put by the drier, but someone else must have had food poisoning too.
It was totally worth it.
Monday. BLAH.
ahhh you are too kind. I had SOOOOOOO much fun with you. LOVE YA
ReplyDeleteI always have food poisoning after nights out. It's so weird. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, your Kids Cuisine and martini is hilarious! I would totally do that. Except...I get the one with the brownie or the chocolate pudding too. :) Hope you're feeling better today!
ReplyDeleteLol I always blame the food when I wake up feeling sick the next day. Strange we seem to have the same problem. Looks like you had a fun weekend.
ReplyDeleteFOR SURE FOOD POISONING.
ReplyDeletesince she invited you in does that mean you had to put out?
do people still use that term? we should bring it back.
I USED TO love St. Germain...then my husband poured my drinks one night (ahem, French gimlets yum) and ever since I can't even stand to smell the stuff.
ReplyDeleteST. GERMAIN AND CHAMPS?! You know St. Germain is my jam right? Try it with prosecco next time. It's my fav
ReplyDeleteYup, blame the food. Totally not the booze. Nope, never.
ReplyDeleteYou can't go wrong w/ kiddie cuisines! Hope you feel better!!
ReplyDeleteFish tacos will do it to you every single time.
ReplyDeleteit was probably the watered down corn that did it.
ReplyDeleteha sounds like a good weekend! and my dogs love sleeping on piles of clothes (clean or dirty) as well. what a life.

Fireball & Fish Tacos sounds like the BEST night ever. I would blame the productivity in the morning.
ReplyDeleteNot sure what I'm more jealous of, A) your night out with Helene the queen or B) that kid cuisine. Your life. Gimme.
ReplyDeleteWeird, I had food poisoning all weekend too! Jealous of your blating life. Looked like a great time.
