About Venus

Thanks to this website, I have several new followers. I thought you may like to know a little about me. 

Or maybe you don't. But as I'm sure you guessed by this post not being over yet, I'm going to tell you anyway. 

The idea for this blog started back in 2010 while I was in the bathroom, and thought, "Hey my girlfriends need to know more about sports, and I can help!"

All of my best ideas are compiled in the bathroom. 

I started out anonymous in an attempt to not play favorites but when I realized it was really just my Mom visiting the site over and over, I figured I should cut the anonymity and be myself.

I'm a totally normal girly girl living in Dallas, Tx.

I graduated in 2008 from the University of Tennessee (Go Vols!) with a degree in Public Relations.

I have my own freelance Marketing and Graphic Design company Social&Chic plus I do Marketing and Advertising for a boating company during the day. 

I don't technically boat. 

By technically, I mean I don't boat.

I love everything on Bravo except for when they play random dude movies like Bad Boys 2 on Sunday afternoon and I really don't tune in to Top Chef at all. 

Other than that, I really don't need any other channels besides ESPN. 

I love to shop, drink a lot wine and gossip as much as the next gay. 

I hate Jessica Simpson, but who doesn't?

I have a dog named General Neyland... named him after my college's football stadium.

I like to "boop" his nose as often as possible, and make the boooooop sound while I do it, but that is just me.

I Pinterest several hours a day. 

I can sit and watch makeup/hair tutorial youtube videos for hours on end, without sound, and would consider that quite the productive day.

I am a firm believer we should change one of the 5 food groups to chips and salsa. 

I am just like you, except I love sports too! 

Oh and I'm a poet but didn't know it.

Oh and my name isn't Venus, but that will be our little secret, k?

Oh... and I still crop/don't crop my friends out of professional pictures because I'm too cheap to hire a photographer to take my picture!
